NYU Scholarships

I have a quick question about Scholarships. I looked at the website and they listed a few scholarships that are available, but none of them really apply to me since most are for New York residents and I live in Texas. So I can't fill out any of them.

Do they have any need-based scholarships? I remember hearing at an information session that they give out scholarship packages, but I don't remember if they said I had to apply for it somehow.

Do they automatically consider scholarships for you once you send in your Admissions application or do you have to send in something else?

I'm a little confused. Someone said I would receive word on scholarship offers once I got accepted but yeah...>>

Just want to make sure.

there are many scholarships that you will not see listed. Filling in the fafsa is ALL you need to do as an applicant to be considered. MOST scholarships are NEED based, there are very limited merit only based scholarships (it depends on which school at NYU you are applying to)

FYI, my son receives over 30K in scholarship money from NYU. My EFC is about 12K and his SAT score was 2250. He is currently a junior in CAS.

Ohhh, I see. Thanks a lot!
