Hello I was accepted to Cornell ILR and NYU SCPS. I want to attend law school or grad school after. I am torn between the two because Cornell is amazing but so far from home and very difficult. But NYU is close to home, and it's in New York City. But I have been reading the NYU SCPS is average, not hard to get into. If I went to SCPS would it be harder to get into a good grad or law school? Thanks everyone!

I can tell you that it will be easier to get into grad schools from a Cornell school and Ithica is only 2 hours from NYC, so its not too bad. There are ppl who are travelling across the US to go to Cornell, so keep that in mind when you decide. Good luck!

“only 2 hours from NYC”
Even a little less. By private plane, that is.
By car it is 4- 4.5 hrs though.

Cornell is an amazing school and Ithaca is absolutely gorgeous. it is 4ish hours (depending on traffic) from NYC but it really isnt that bad. if you want to do grad school after Cornell will probably be better for that but either way both colleges are amazing.

so sorry @monydad and @audreym77
The point is that people all over the world travel to get into Cornell. I don’t think a couple of hours is a huge change

Thank you so much everyone, this is extremely helpful. I would not get good financial aid, so for two years there, I would leave with over 90,000 in debt. Is that worth it? I really want to go to Cornell, but I’m scared about the money.
