Hey!
I got into NYU SCPS for hotel and tourissm program.
Im hearing bad stuffs about this school...
Can somebody tell me more about this school?!! help ?
thanks

What have you heard about the school? I pmed you.

it is actually a great program. In terms of potential/access/and connections, people rank it on par with Cornell depending on which division you focus on.

Not sure who you are talking to but I do know that the program ranks/rates extremely high and is known for excellent contacts/future placements.

commentcomment & codysmomma Yes, that’s right on par with how I feel about nyu scps as well. Actually, before I made the decision that I will attend in the fall, I found out as much as I could about graduates of the program I’m going into. I got some of their names and looked them up on linked in, facebook, things of that nature. What I saw is that they’ve been able to transition their careers or that where they are (career-wise/position wise) is exactly where I want to go with my career.

I’ve also been impressed with the responsiveness I get from the program when I inquire about little things via email. I’m really content with my decision and can’t wait to start.

I think deciding on a school is really about whether it is a FIT for you. So you do want it to have a good reputation, but also you want to ask yourself if this is the place for you specifically.

Have a son graduating from SCPS - great experience - nothing negative to say except that it is not a traditional college campus - but it’s NYC - the experience doesn’t get more exciting and will be vastly different from Cornell. Ithaca is not NYC.
