Did you have a “Housing and Meal Plans” Button on your NYU Life page that looks like this: http://postimg.org/image/s9xtgv6dv/ @notsleeping2k15

Hello everyone, i want to see how many shanghai 2020 applicants are in here and have received an invite for an Interview ? and what do they really ask on the interview (am nervous )lol.I have mine on February 18th by Miss Claire and owh yeah i am a RD applicant.

plus has anyone got a full financial aid package so far?? :frowning:

@africanboy I had my interview a few weeks back as an ED 2 candidate. They ask questions regarding your interest iin Shanghai and China as a whole, so do research on the University and be familiar with what it has to offer. I feel like they really want people who are passionate and dedicated about taking the adventure and step to moving to a new country. Explain to them why you applied and what impact you’ll make if you get admitted.

Hey guys, I got in ED1. The admitted candidate weekend is 21-24 April this year. I am not attending due to less FA but best of luck! YOUR INTERVIEW MATTERS ALOT!

Thanks for the information @livinglife2020 . Hope you do well wherever you choose to go!

Also @notsleeping2k15 Did you receive 20K in merit aid or css need based aid?

I recieved the money from filling out the CSS profile. I did not get an offer for any merrit scholarships (I think those are for the SUPER smart/talented kids.) For stats to compare for FA/scholarships/admissions chances my ACT was a 28 (pretty low), and my GPA was 3.9(uw) and 4.2(w) with 4 AP classes total for my highschool career. My parents make about 100k a year so 20k in FA seems generous, but tuition for NYU is insane. Hope this helps.

Oh I forgot to mention I do not remeber recieveing a “Housing and Meal Plans” tab but if you have it it’s probably a good sign.

Ah I see. Thank You so much @notsleeping2k15 . Really appreciate the help and the information. I hope I get accepted; I’d be thrilled to attend NYUSH.

Where did you guys find out about NYU Shanghai?

@ZainSD @adreamer22 There is an admitted students’ weekend, from April 21-24. NYUSH seems to be paying for all of it, but only for admitted students as far as I can tell!

@theniqqa23 I hope you get your acceptance letter soon! In the email NYUSH sent me, it seems like only 500 offers were made from NYUSH out of the total 63K applications to NYU. I got my acceptance email ahead of time on the 16th, but I don’t think that it means anything, though I am very happy about the “yes” from NYUSH. All the best to you!!

Edit: I also attended the Skype interview with Ms. Chanel. It was slated to last 30 minutes, but mine only went on for about 16. I am an RD applicant.

Hey admitted Class of 2020, y’all are probably connecting in your Facebook group right now, but if you’re still checking this post for whatever reason, I’ll be on the Student Life panel at ASW! See you all soon!
