NYU Shanghai

How do you know so much about the other students that were accepted? Also would you be able to list (if you know any more) of the students who were accepted/where they are from. Also about the visit I just enrolled Saturday, I have heard anything from them. Idk if that’s because I have not sent in my desposit check yet. All I did was accept my admissions decision on albert and finanical aid offer…

@thawowtso when they invited you to China and gave you the date 3/20 was it through email or mail? And how long would you say (a rough estimate) was it between you confirming your enrollment and their offer to visit the shanghai?

I hope they don’t have more boys than girls! I saw for abu dhabi class of 2015 there were more boys than girls…so I’m hoping they do the same for NYUSH class of 2017!

hey guys just wondering; so i applied to both Stern and NYUSH, in the end (april 1st announcement) is it possible to get accepted to both? or will it just be either Stern or NYUSH depending on your priority choice?

Hello everyone! Just find this thread and I am an international student from China. Anything you want ask about living in China? Feel free to ask! BTW I apply to both NYU and SH.

Ok, so heres where all the EDI students are from:
(if a country is listed more than once, then more than one person is from there)
Azerbaijan
Mexico
New Zealand
Sweden
United States
Turkey
Poland
Russia
United States
Russia
Peru
Hungary
United States
United States

Hope that helps!

@vintagerosery I got it through email, but they told me in my acceptance email that I was going to be flown out for a trip. It took until like the middle of January to actually hear about the specifics, and I was accepted in December. I don’t know about EDII students, other than the guy who lives near me who is flying out on the same day (but he heard back a few weeks early about his acceptance).

@bowtiesrcool You will only hear back about the school that is your priority choice if you are accepted. Otherwise, you will hear back about the second choice school.

@soppei Are you going to NYUSH for sure? or are you still waiting to hear back from them?

@thawowtso I am still waiting for both NYU and NYUSH. I kind of want to go to NYUSH, but my mum doesn’t approve it because I have already stay in the United States for two years and she wants me to continue studying here.

@soppei Its understandable that your mom would think that, I am constantly bombarded with questions about why I would ever want to leave the states for China… I have to reassure them that it is an American university, but I really know that the future of business is centralized in China and Asia in general. I hope it all works out for you :)

@vintagerosery Oh, and I forgot to mention I know so much because I am on the Facebook page for the class of 2017 xD I got invited to join a few months after I was accepted, hopefully the EDII students will be getting that invite soon as well.

@thawowtso I think there is no better place than Shanghai if you want to study business in Asia. I highly recommend it because it is the economic center of China. The only problem of it is the terrible traffic, and a lot of people. I understand why people keep asking that kind of questions, but when you are in SH, you won’t regret about it. Actually my dream school in China is in SH. And Suzhou and Hangzhou (the two most beautiful cities in China) are not far away, you have to visit them if you are going to NYUSH. Anyway, good luck on your admissions!

woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow I got iN! :D: D:D:D:D:D:D:D

got an email with congratulations. the financial offer doesn’t fully meet my need but maybe they’ll do sth with it  hope so at least

Got accepted! :)

got accepted!!! from Pakistan.

Got accepted   Oh yeah!
I’m from India btw

congratss!!! what are your stats?

accepted as well – from the us :)

Lol I got admitted to NYUShanghai too!!! They also want to know if I am interested in going to China in order to know more about NYUSHANGHAI… I still do not know what to do!
I am from Ecuador. Are we all posting our stats?

Admitted. Free trip to Shanghai is amazing, I’m very interested in checking it out!

I think I won’t be able to go to China on April… I am not 18 yet…
and I am not accepting my spot until MIT releases the admission decisions

Admitted!!!

Sadly my parents think that the amount of money I received won’t be enough for me to go there… :(

I will not be 18 by April either, but I just hope they let us go anyway… :(

Wait… will we need to be 18 to go? :frowning: I won’t be 18 either

Also, do you need to commit to NYU shanghai to go on this trip? I would love to go to Shanghai, but I doubt I’ll be able to go there with my financial situation…
Does anyone have answers??? :(

I didn’t see anywhere that we need to be 18.

It does not say you need to commit either, just that you will take a special part in the trip if you do commit.

Fingers crossed… I would LOVE to go back to China, especially Shanghai!!!

My passport expires two days after my trip would end… awks lol

I was going to apply to Shanghai but realized it didn’t really have what I wanted…

“My passport expires two days after my trip would end… awks lol”

^Btw, most airlines will require that your passport doesn’t expire for like a few months after your trip, so you should check that out.
