also got rejected today ;( My gpa is 3.64 ( my university is in Mainland China. The calculation of GPA is somehow different from the local schools). I applied to CAS and Journalism Major.
I felt kinda disappointed because NYU and NYC are always the dream places for me.
But so far, i have admitted to Wisconsin-Madison and Emerson College and I am still waiting for BU. Get rejected by UIUC and UVa.

@tatidee123 Still annoying, I wish they would give information as to why tandon is taking so long. I’m confident for you!! Don’t give up hope
I saw On last years thread someone mentioned that tandon is harder to get in than CAS :-S
No changes today either guys. It’s just getting worse and worse. No student tab, didn’t submit financial aid so I won’t receive any. If I don’t submit CSS profile, but said I was going to, they will review my application correct?
@catherinesc88 The posted acceptance rates are ~20% for CAS and ~35% for Tandon
@mattlm0831 there’s also people saying tandon’s acceptance rate is outdated. It’s before the large donation made to the school by tandon couples. But idk (
@catherinesc88 the rate from 2015 is 35%. I guess that could be outdated, but how much could it have varied by now? I don’t think it could have changed all that much between then and now. Also it is not even close to the most popular college in the university, therefore is not the most competitive. I’m not trying to bash the college, but I once again don’t think doubting your ability to get in is a good idea
@mattlm0831 I’m loosing my hopr every single day lol. They r def trying to step up in the game after the 100 million dollar donation though. Research makes a big difference in science and engineering field

@catherinesc88 Why? Nobody has heard from Tandon, there is no reason tho think that we are any more unlikely to get in because the time is passing.
My professor’s wife works in admissions… She told him this morning that decisions are most likely coming out on the 15th. yippee. I give up
