@washingtonsqpark and @LONGBitcoin, I’m applying to CAS and my financial aid status changed too between yesterday and today. Now it has these columns “Aid Year”, “Institution”, “Aid Year Description” with this information below each respective column “2018”, “New York University”, “Inquiry access denied.” Is that what you have? Best of luck all!
You’re in 100 p. What’s your stats like? @gswitch
@gswitch I also had that change but I don’t want to get my hopes up…
smart @nyuapp123 and @EconDon23 don’t play with my heart lol. I have a very unconventional background; I went to a tiny liberal arts university in Canada where I was involved with student government (vice president of student council). I studied at Columbia for a year and now work in financial technology, but need (obviously) to finish my undergraduate degree. I had a semi-decent gpa but not perfect. Also, I didn’t realize we could have two academic recommendations AND a professional recommendation, so I only have one academic and one professional…
@gswitch @nyuapp123 did you guys get housing portal changes?
@gswitch how do I check that? Lol
It’s weird because I have the change but when I try to click on the students tab it says I got logged off
@nyuapp123 check what?
DUDE. I JUST PRESSED ON IT AND LOGGED IN AND IT GIVES ME A “A COMMUTER REQUEST TAB” DOES EVERYONE HAVE THAT? DID PEOPLE THAT GOT ACCEPTED GET THAT MESSAGE???
@EconDon23 I’ve had that tab for a while, its been discussed on this thread previously.
So does it mean anything? @TransferBrotha
@EconDon23 I have that tab too and admissions hasn’t made a decision on my application yet, so unfortunately, it doesn’t mean anything
Got my hopes up for nothing lmao… Back to square one
I’ve worked very hard for this. Probably over a hundred 12+ hour study binges within the past year. Became the president of clubs, worked on maintaining a perfect GPA for every semester including this one, and so on. I know I will be successful no matter what happens, and that if I don’t get into NYU won’t break me, but surely, I am damn sure that getting into NYU would maximize my success. I’m hoping for the best, and hopefully these decisions roll out soon. If not, then I’m committing to a school in DC.
unfortunately I think i’m giving up guys. it’s a lot of stress and the office has been of no help
Exactly, they connect you to useless student ambassadors that just say things to get by. Frustrating tbh
On my 100th post, I will say: F**K the admissions office, stop calling them. They aren’t going to tell you anything useful.
With that said, my financial aid has changed once again.
- Went from:
No year, and just “No financial aid information found.”
…
- then:
Aid Year: 2018
Institution: New York University
Aid Year Description: No financial aid data available.
…
- last night:
On the ‘Financial Aid Summary’ page:
Aid Year: 2018
Institution: New York University
Aid Year Description: Inquiry access denied.
On the ‘Accept / Decline Financial Aid’ page:
Aid Year: 2018
Institution: New York University
Aid Year Description: Award access not available.
…
- now, I have two years (2018, 2019) and a new description “No self-service access for this aid year”:
On the ‘Financial Aid Summary’ page:
Aid Year: 2018
Institution: New York University
Aid Year Description: Inquiry access denied.
Aid Year: 2019
Institution: New York University
Aid Year Description: No self-service access for this aid year.
On the ‘Accept / Decline Financial Aid’ page:
Aid Year: 2018
Institution: New York University
Aid Year Description: Award access not available.
Aid Year: 2019
Institution: New York University
Aid Year Description: No self-service access for this aid year.
@washingtonsqpark yeah I think that’s a clear indicator that you’ve been accepted! Will keep an eye out to see if mine changes again. Congrats!!
