NYU Spring Transfer 2014

@mochiboo55 @FlexPavillion I haven’t heard anything either. This is frickin’ scary.

all those that got accepted, what does your email say?
like congratulations, or it sends you a link to a decision?

I am not sure if I should be checking my email anymore, since they might be done sending decisions for today.

Did anyone who applied at the last minute hear back? I applied last minute and also sent in my transcript late.

I didn’t hear back yet… But at this point I would rather go to Cal. But New York City would be awesome…

I sent in my application at 11:59 September 31 and they didn’t receive my hs transcript until just last week with the application fee. Still haven’t heard back.

@supaflypatty I hope you get in :)

Are there any students who have been accepted from the west coast?

I guess for those who haven’t received their decisions yet, we’re all gonna have to wait another week… Haha. Happy Thanksgiving y’all.

And congrats to everyone who have gotten their decisions today. Must be a huge relief!

at least now we know for sure that next Tuesday our decisions will be in.

@victorchlee why we would know for sure? nyu says that they’re sending out notifications throughout december!

if it makes you guys feel better I had a 3.3 hs gpa and just a 3.6 college gpa. I also wrote the essay and supplement like 4 hours before I submitted the common app. So I am sure most of you will get it if I did.

For those who have been accepted: how long did it take for you to be able to access the housing forms?

@flower1294 I called them and they said the last week for decisions release would be the week of Dec 1st. I don’t know if the deadline will be met, but that’s what they told me.

I’ve been emailing back and forth with an admissions counselor. And she informed me that she just started reviewing my application after receiving everything needed. So I can expect to hear back by next week.

@Travel7Seas I’m from California and got in today.

Additionally, I do have a good college GPA at 3.85, but my HS GPA was just a 3.7 and I decided not to send my SAT scores. I wrote my supplements the night before I submitted (Nov. 1st) and I don’t have many EC besides a part-time job. And I got in! Best of luck to all who are still waiting.

@twbarrett

Congrats, what major?

@Travel7Seas

Politics

Maybe they are doing by college. So far I’ve seen CAS acceptances only. I applied to Gallatin and I’m a first year…Maybe that’s it?

i know this is kinda early to discuss it.
currently i’m a senior student in high school, will going to a CC which is partnership with Steinhardt.
My question is, will NYU still care about activities or awards I’ve joined or earned during high school? such as MUN, workshops in top universities (HKU), some competition participation in some Higher Edu Institute. Cuz from grade 9-10, my ECs are totally blank. But I started to do some meaningful activities start from grade 11-12. I just don’t wanna waste them.
Let’s say if I apply to transfer after a year of CC.
Will it help?
thanks

Tuesday is coming, embrace yourselves. Honestly, I am scared!!!

@dbeer I do not know for sure, but for me (and I am a first year) those EC will count/counted, says my academic counsellor.

And yes, people, this is the LAST week for TRANSFERS. Next week they release ED1 results, so this week is the last for us to get a warm welcome or a “try again next year, buddy.”
