NYU Spring Transfer 2014

They don’t release decisions until the specified dates. If you applied ED1, you will not hear back until December 13th. If you applied regular decision, you won’t hear back for quite a while. They may or not have looked at your application, but they release decisions all at once.

@Marinozai this is a transfer feed. Transfer applications hear back on a rolling basis, decisions are released three weeks after they have received your completed application.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the correction - sorry!

If I applied on Oct 26, when should I be getting my decision letter?

@FlexPavillion The Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management is actually completely separate from Tisch School of the Arts. PRTC is an undergraduate division of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies. Like I said, it’s not very well known and very small and specialized so I have no idea what it’s transfer stats are like haha.

Now that some people have heard on 11/7, should we expect that some decisions will come out each Tuesday and Thursday?

My university won’t release midterm grades so I can’t complete the NYU midterm report. What do I do? (btw I did send in a midterm report, it just didn’t have grades on it, and they wouldn’t accept it) Is/Was anyone in a similar situation?

@flower1294 the midterm report is on the common app. You need to print it out and have your teachers sign it.

My checklist indicated that NYU had recieved all of my transcripts and then one was unchecked when I looked today. Has that happened to anyone? Should I call and be sure that they have everything?

Got my acceptance yesterday! Very excited!

Congrats!!!^ :slight_smile: Do you mind letting us know when you applied and to what school?

sure! I applied to the college of arts and science, majoring in biology/neuroscience and I applied October 27. I was really surprised to hear so early!

hey @lizz2152, do you mind sharing your stats?

Sure. I’m a sophomore right now, went to university of south florida my freshman year
College GPA: 4.0
Major: Biology & Psychology
I was on the Dean’s List my freshman year and was part of the honors college
I took a summer class at Penn this past summer where I got an A
Currently doing research with a Penn professor in Philadelphia and taking online classes through my school

Let me know if there’s anything else you want to know that I forgot

Congrats again^ :slight_smile: I’m so anxious and hoping to hear soon!

Btw lizz2152, I did get/read your PM but I can’t answer back because i have <15 posts haha. If you’d like, you can send me an e-mail address and I can respond to you that way

awesome lizz2152, I wish you the best! :)

anyone applying as a FIRST YEAR?

@victorchlee
I AM! I know its hard to get it as a freshman, especially considering NYU’s class of 2017 is so large, but fingers crossed.

@lizz2152
What time was your acceptance email emailed to you? Give us a time zone with the time. I don’t want to check my email every 30 minutes like I have been doing so far lol

@FlexPavillion
Awesome man, that is super awesome. Yeap, fingers crossed. Which school did you apply to?

Accepted! to CAS with a 3.7 college GPA at American University. Does anyone know about the housing situation for spring transfers?

@teamawesomese I got my acceptance letter tuesday at 11:30.
@JusPhys I was also wondering the same thing about housing! I would like to live on campus for the first semester but Im not sure what housing is like for upper classmen
