So today is Thu and nobody heard the decision on this thread?
:((
Quick update: I emailed one of the admissions officers yesterday and he told me that I should be receiving my decision in the coming week! Good luck to the rest of you and just don’t be anxious
When I called earlier this week I was told I would know December 15th, I applied into the College of Nursing.
hey guys! I just got accepted literally like a minute ago check your email box!!!
Hey guys I just got into CAS! I’m an English literature major!
Got accepted into the College of Nursing!!!
I got my decision from Steinhardt this morning!
Rejected :(( . Going to bc
What did you apply for?
I applied for math major. I was rejected, but here are my stats for future applicants.
High School GPA : Didn’t use GPA system. About top 15~20%
College GPA:3.97 in a community college
SAT: 2140(CR 680 Math 770 Writing 690) Physics 800 Math 2C 800
ECs: not that impressive. +200 hours volunteering, volunteering site coordinator, math club vp, internships, math tutor, won a national math competition for cc students
International student.
I’m so sad since NYU is the best school for mathematics.
Congrats to those who got accepted!!
I got my acceptance to CAS yesterday!
It’s been a wonderful month waiting for it with everyone here!
Thank you all the help and support for you guys!
For those who are rejected and are still interested in the school:
NEVER GIVE UP! I applied to NYU three times as a transfer.
The first time I wasn’t qualified but I got into Univ. of Rochester with scholarship.
The second time they said I couldn’t apply twice in one academic year, so they didn’t even look at my application (I was extremely disappointed especially when they didn’t even review it).
But this time I finally got in (although I didn’t change much from my previous application). I guess sometimes even though you are qualified, you still just don’t get in. Life has given you another arrangement; but you should never give up!
And if you are wondering, my SAT is probably lower than any one of you (I didn’t use the score). So don’t panic if you don’t have good grades either for GPA or standardized tests. ESSAYS i guess is the most important thing.
Hey guys i transferred in the Fall of 2015 and I was thinking of doing something constructive for one of my study breaks (finals…) so…
AMA!
About me:
Transferred from a UK university, currently doing Economics and Mathematics at CAS.
Class load this semester:
3 Econ classes, one core.
Experience so far:
Alright I guess, depends on what you want out of your college experience I guess…
Does anyone who still not hear any response… seems like i am the last one
@akbenjamin What year were you in when you applied for transfer for the 1st time? Did you attend Rochester?
Do we have transfer orientation…? its on my calendar but i can’t find an email or anything online
Congrats to those who got accepted! I stumbled upon this post and am intending to apply for spring 2017. It’s difficult to find information relating to NYU’s Spring transfer.
Is Spring transfer more difficult than Fall or vice versa? The admission office says it varies every year, which sounds a bit vague to me…
A bit of background, applying outside of U.S, will most likely apply to CAS.
Any thoughts or ideas is appreciated!
