*** A CAS transfer applicant reported receiving an email regarding an admissions interview on this day.

idk if i should apply to nyu as a spring transfer or fall transfer. does anyone know the advantages of applying as a spring transfer? i was waitlisted at nyu as a hs senior but ultimately rejected. i havent even started my current college yet but i am still very interested in nyu.

@persaud10192 In your position, I’d wait until fall transfer because you wouldn’t have any college grades to submit along with it is in your interest to wait until the spring just in case you do enjoy your current college.

Hello! I am interested in applying as a Spring transfer and for Fall if I don’t get accepted. I was curious if you can help me figure out my chances of being accepted.

I’m hoping to transfer into the Gallatin program.

I have applied to NYU Stern for Fall 2018 but got rejected so hopefully Gallatin!

Good luck everyone and thank you!

Has anyone received their login information for the application portal? I submitted my application in late August and I have received an acknowledgment but have not gotten my login information yet.

@HeyItsNick I submitted my app on 10/1 also received acknowledgement email on 10/5 but no login information yet either. I applied to Meyers

I received the login information today. Does anybody know whether submitting the midterm report is recommended or not? I have 7 classes, one B or B+, other all A, should I submit it? Or should I wait for another midterm, to see whether I can get better grades?

spencerrrrr You’re taking 7 classes in college? Are you looking for the freshman applicant thread?

@friesbeforeguys yes, I am taking 7 classes in college… It is not that bad… I am a sophomore now, so for transfer application…

Just applied to CAS…

College: University of Miami
GPA: 3.94
ACT: 33
HS GPA: 3.45
Credits Completed: 14
Credits IP: 15

@gapyearapplicant hey, how come you’re transferring from UM??

Hi all! Applied to CAS on 9/29/18
I received both my acknowledgement and NYU login information on 10/5/18
Hope to hear back soon the wait is killing me!

Hoping we all hear back soon!!

i also applied super nervous!!!

Have you heard anything back??

i haven’t heard anything or seen any changes to my app. it still says some stuff is missing from my application even though it was all sent so I just assume they’re super overloaded w paperwork and stuff right now

One of their officers asked/recommended me to submit the mid-term report ASAP. Hopefully decisions may release in the few weeks.

Last year, the first decisions were released on the second Friday of the month (11/10/17) and tomorrow is the second Friday of the month this year so hopefully some of us start to hear back soon…

In average, how many Spring-transfer applications does NYU receive every year? It is more competitive?

@spencerrrrr When did they contact you?
