I was thinking of doing the same but I’m an over thinker and thought the common app itself might know because DOB and SSN would obviously be the same, but you didn’t have that problem(you can message me if you don’t want to post it publicly)? Also what NYU doesn’t know they don’t need to know, I don’t see any need to tell them about it now, big congrats to you on your admittance!!!

Thank you!! And I had no problems with using two common app accounts! Both of my accounts had my DOB and SSN and there was never a problem. All you need is a different email to make a new account because that is how the common app differentiates the two. I also applied multiple times having to use both accounts for each sem and there was never an issue

i know some of you talked about wanting to reapply for fall 2022 admission and i would say go for it. i’m not sure when they placed the rule to only allow one application per academic year, but if you want to apply, i would just reach out to their admissions office.
i applied fall 2021 (got rejected) and got in for spring 2022. i did email their office asking if it was okay to reapply and they said yes. i used the same common app profile
Also if anyone received a rejection, don’t give up. NYU has been my dream school for YEARS and I was rejected 3 times before I finally got accepted this week. I’ve felt really hopeless since the first time in high school but I’m stubborn so I kept applying lol. If you want to apply for fall 2022, do it!!!

my statement was better and more personal this time. i think the extra time helped me develop a better academic track record. i didn’t do well in HS (especially my senior year) so having more time in college would make my HS grades have less impact. for reference, i graduated HS in June 2020 and i started community college during that summer. my HS GPA was around a 3.2 and then dipped to a 2.9 during my senior year. the college gpa i applied with was roughly 3.85

they typically change day of the decision. and nyu doesn’t release decisions on the weekend so i’d start checking monday!
