NYU Spring Transfer Chances?

Hi guys I just finished my first semester at UMiami after having to withdraw in the first week in Fall due to my mothers deteriorating health.

I didn’t really like Miami, and UMiami while quite good in STEM instruction (great STEM professors) was socially not really my vibe. It’s very pre-professional and I get the feeling that the social life is very based on fraternity life. I’m originally from NYC so I would like to apply to NYU and transfer

Hi there! These are great stats. I think it’s definitely work a shot to try and transfer to NYU. (Plus, it would probably be like going home for you as you’re from NYC.)

I believe NYU says you have to complete at least 24 credits before you transfer, so I believe that as long as you do that you should be in good standing.

I hope you get in!

@hopefullyinnyc okay, thank you so much! And yes, the idea is that it would be nice to come back to my home - also for family reasons. Did you already transfer? Do you happen to know if it is harder to get in as a Spring transfer vs fall transfer?

Looks good, but if you need financial aid, then you should apply to a few other schools as well.

No I didn’t transfer. I’m planning to try to transfer for Fall 2019! I bet both are equal opportunity, however, maybe Spring is a little bit harder? That’s just my assumption.

@Publisher dont need financial aid! Especially since COA will be cheaper living at home!

@hopefullyinnyc ahh best of luck!

Does anyone know how hard it is to transfer into CAS? What kind of stats do they look for?
