Just about to finish my first year at NYU Stern! Ask me anything–I’ll answer the first 50 questions.
It’s exam season, so give me some time to reply please!

Can you described your social life? How many parties a week? Where were parties mostly…what there is to do at night when there are no parties…How much work is there? Is learning fun at Stern? Is the lack of campus annoying? Do kids transfer from stern to wharton?
Thanks for doing this!
Do you find that Stern is more competitive than the rest of NYU as a whole or any of the other schools in NYU?
Would you say its necessary to, or that most others have, have some sort of business/finance/commercial experience prior to attending Stern or is “going in blind” okay/normal?
Do most undergraduates take mostly the same courses the first year/two? What are they?
Thanks!
Thank you so much for this! At Stern are you able to meet all kinds of people or only business buddies? At NYU in general do you have a lot of friends outside your major?
What is the worst part about Stern? What would u recommend incoming freshmen/potential students?
Thank u for ur time!!
For Stern, would you know what is the average UW GPA and SAT 1 score for those admitted under ED1? Any statistics/information would be great.
Do you have more workload than high school? How many hours do freshman sleep per night?
Thanks so much!
When registering for classes, how likely is it that I get my top choices? I know at some schools it’s pretty likely you will get your first class choices, and some it is nearly impossible. Also, How does “writing the essay” compare to “commerce and culture” as a writing class (which has more work, better professors, etc)? Thanks!
Hello! I was just wondering how the environment of Stern is like, and what kind of students would love/fit the school’s environment and what type of student would not enjoy it as much. Thanks!!
@dulais : that was a kind and useful offer you made, and lots of students took you up on it. Looking forward to your answers.
