NYU Stern BS/MBA

I heard that there was a BS/MBA combined degree offered by Stern on this board....if there is, then that would be great because I wouldn't have to go through the whole work-then-apply process all over again, and whatever else. So anyways, is there such a thing???? If so, when do you apply for the MBA part of it???

....you're a little too excited about Stern. As a junior, you should be studying for SATs SATIIs, and those asdf;lkj AP tests that are next week. lol.

In response to your question - even if there was that possibility, I wouldn't want it. There's absolutely no point and here's why:

1) Stern MBA isn't really THAT good, u should aim higher
2) Companies care less about the degree, it's all about the experience. If a community college + NYU student both worked as an analyst at Goldman Sachs for 2 years, that is what their future employer looks at. Their performance at GS will matter a lot more than their undergrad.
3) similarly, they will not care at all that you have an MBA. it won't matter because you will have no experience to back it up. without experience, u will start the same place as any other unexperienced person.

and yea...u should really get into/through college before worrying about graduate school. who knows, maybe you'll decide u hate business

I'm also pretty sure that there isn't a joint MBA/BSc degree at Stern. Maybe you're thinking of the joint JD/MBA program?

Granted, you DO hear of VERY VERY RARE occasions when someone fresh out of undergrad goes directly to a good Business school. Some business schools offer a direct BS/MBA, but those are in general 2nd tier and lower. The better schools almost never accept anyone without work experience into their MBA programs.

NYU offers neither a BS/MBA nor a BA/MD program.
