<p>I am a junior from Long Island, NY in a top ranked school in the country. </p>

<p>GPA (currently a junior)- 3.65. With the AP's I am taking this year I think I can boost it too a 3.71-3.72
SAT-(January I scored 1930, will work harder for March SAT and want to score 2100-2200.)
Classes- AP Bio, Science Research (big classes in 10th grade), AP Environmental Science, AP Comp and Lang, AP US History, AP Psychology, Pre Calculus Research, Spanish 4, Science Research (11th grade), will take AP Government, AP Stat, AP Calc AB, AP Spanish, Physics Regents, Anatomy/Physiology, Creative Writing and Economics in 12th grade. </p>

<p>EC's:
-Volunteer at Hospital (currently at 100 hours, projected 150-200 hours)
-Work at parents UPS Store
-10th grade officer, 11th grade VP, 12th grade (president) of Asian American Awareness. Sponsored child in India (my idea that I brought to the club)
-Science Research- multiple awards and competitions. Published in Blood Journal. (Getting rec from science research teacher). Been doing research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine since 9th grade. Will compete in Intel and Siemens next year (12th grade).
-JV Tennis (9th and 10th grade) 10th grade- Captain of Team and MVP Award
-Varsity Tennis 11th and (12th)
-Lifetime Basketball League- 11th and 12th- Starting Center
-USTA Tennis Tournaments- Ranked in Long Island and Eastern
-NYSSMA Music Festival for Voice Tenor- Score 96
-All County Music Festival for Voice Tenor Division 3, 4, 5
-Summer Programs- National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF) on Medicine
-National Honor Society
-Spanish Honor Society</p>

<p>Teacher Recs- Spanish, Science Research, English
SAT 2's- will take US History, Math 2 and possibly Biology E.
-Consider Application Essay, supplements etc. is wonderful
-Will apply for no financial aid
-No Class Ranking
-My Grade is extremely competitive </p>

<p>-If I apply for no financial aid, do I have a better chance at Stern?
Also, what if I apply to a different school in NYU and transfer? Can that work?</p>

<p>It looks like you have a lot of medical-related EC’s so it may look slightly strange that you want to go to a business school but your research is extensive. Aim for a 2300 on SAT’s with 800 in math and you’re set.</p>

<p>I know Stern in and out. With your ECs, you need to increase your GPA to a 3.7 for sure and SAT of 2300+. Ace Math level 2. ED, and you have a 30% chance.</p>

<p>Do u recommend I take AP Econ, AP Gov, AP Stat, AP Calc AB senior year? Do I really need to take Bio E SAT 2? And is there anything more u can tell me about stern? Admissions? Courseload?</p>

<p>I’m guessing you’re an Indian kid tryna get into Stern.
Buddy, with a 3.7 GPA and a push to get that 3.7, you have a great chance to get into Stern. I’m really digging your ECs since you seem to have quite a bit with a Varsity Sport, Volunteer Work, and some Music awards too. Very nice.</p>

<p>Now you just have to focus on maintaining that 3.6 (and hopefully get a 3.7) & getting a decent SAT Score.
I don’t think NOT applying for Financial Aid will help you, since I BELIEVE that NYU is need-blind but I’m not 100% sure.</p>
