Stern's admittance rate has always been the lowest out of the NYU schools and this year they've had a general increase across the board...= /

I know I probably shouldn't be worrying but still...isn't the admittance rate like 1 in 5? AND I applied regular decision, not ED, so that'll probably go against me.

IMHO, I think your chances are excellent. My S is a freshman at Stern this year. His numbers are pretty similar to yours. He was regular decision also. What are your ec's? His big involvements were Math Team (state champs and 7th in NE)and varsity volleyball. Also, he had a half credit of community service on his transcript. The Dean at Stern told us that the SAT's were the highest ever last year and they are the highest of any of the schools at NYU. I guess that's important to them. My son loves Stern and finds the other students very intelligent and a lot of fun to be around. The only problem with not applying ED is that you will probably not get your first choice dorm. That is the big advantage of applying early there. My son got his third choice dorm but it turned out fine and in fact he is wanting to be roommates next year with three of his present roommates.

WOW! My big involvements are also Math Team (vice prez) and Volleyball too!! President and founder of the Mu Alpha Theta (math honors society) at my school. Asian American Club Vice President. Chess club treasurer. National Honor society. Science Honor society. I'm also Co-Chair of a County-wide Student Union. also 8 years of violin, some all-county, all-state, competitive orchestras. 100 hrs of community service.

You will get into NYU-Stern, there are no reason as why you shouldnt.

NYU: Safe Match

It definitely sounds like a safe match! Are you a good volleyball player? Of course they want to know how tall you are! My son is 6' 3 1/2". So he just barely made it as a middle blocker. Have you applied to other schools?

Assuming your class rank is in top 10%, you're a strong candidate.

I'm pretty good. Except, at my 5' 9 height, there is NO way I can play in college. Well....iunno. very little possibility.

My school doesn't rank and while it DOES give "graduating top 5%," it doesn't announce that until like....mid-april
