NYU stern chances

I dont think that they are very good...what are my chances of getting into Stern for regular decision with a superscore of 680-Math 670-Reading 720-Wrting 77-MC 7-Essay GPA unweighted 3.85..weighted 4.725 rank 6/429....solid extra curriculars with leadership roles..some volunteering ..approximately 70 or so hours...AP Scholar....good application essay (in my opinion)

if you applied ED, you would have had a decent shot. RD, not so much.

bumpy… bumped bumping

no - 680 math is too low, as is 1350 M + CR. Their average is like 1470

Actually, the average at Stern is 1422, not 1470. (see table below)

[Undergrad B-School Rankings: Interactive Table](http://bwnt.businessweek.com/bschools/undergraduate/06rankings/)
Note: all the statistics on here are correct except USC’s which was inadvertently submitted incorrectly by the Marshall school. Business Week indicated this in the following issue of their magazine.

As far as your chances, though–it’s kind of hard to say. Your SATs are lower than the averages (as indicated already), but your GPA 3.85 UW (and rank) is higher than NYU’s average of 3.6 (probably around 3.7 for Stern).
Therefore it comes down to your SAT IIs and your ECs, which you have described in very, very limited detail here.

To be able to actually rate your chances well, I’d need to see more information about your ECs–especially I’d need to know if you have work experience, if you held a position like president or vice-president of an active club on campus, and if you were involved in sports, music, or other academic competitions. Also, I’d need to know which state you are from–(chances are better if you are from Alaska than from NY or California). Lastly, please post your SAT II scores.

Post these, and then we’ll know how good your chances are.

Thanks,

sat 2s - 720- Bio-M 7

Should i take a math sat 2 and get a decent score to buffer up that bad sat 1 math score?

you call your sat low, LOL, what kind of ppl are in this forum? 2070 isn’t that low the average according to collegeboard is about 1570
