Hi :] thanks for clicking this lol
Im originally from Korea,
but Ive attended a private school in Canada since gr.8
So, here is some basic info :)

*GPA
School does not use GPA system..:( but;
-upward momentum in academic average (about 96% academic average)
-levels of course difficulty are high: honours, APs,
-very competitive school (Admin officers know about the school)
-Top 5 (about 160 students in my grade) in grades 9 and 10, Top 10 in grade 11

*Activities/Awards
I think I have a lot of activities, except Im not really that athletic at all (no sport teams). Some of the most important ECs are
-Prefect at the school and in boarding (elected position by the student body and faculty)
-Arts/ music involvements (a lot) and contests
-Essay contests, math contests + international project contest (first prize)
-Volunteer experience at a home for physically disabled adults (over 300 hours)

*SATs/ TOEFL/ AP
-June, 2007 CR: 570, MA: 670, WR: 680 (essay11) Total 1920
-October, 2007 CR: 670, MA: 670, WR: 660 (essay9) Total 2000 (finally! :P)
-November, 2007 SAT1 again..
-SAT 2s (not that great): Math2c: 720, BioE: 640, Spanish: (December)
-September, 2007: IBT TOEFL 114 (/120)
-AP European history: 4
*my school does not often allow students to take APs until their senior year, but my AP courses this year are: AP Bio, AP Calc BC, AP Macroec, AP Microec, AP Studio Art..

*Recommendations/Letters
I think my counselor and teachers will write me wonderful recs simply because Ive known them for a long time and they KNOW me both as a student and as a person outside of school. :] Im hard-core editing my essay, but I tried to keep it very personal and funny (in a way)
It might sound a bit unserious, Im worried. But it does show who I am. =]

My dream school is NYU, STERN. And Im applying Early decision there..
Do I have a chance?? I mean, I know it is a reach school (STERN!!), but I just want to hear your feedbacks, please
Other schools that Im applying to in the regular decision are;
Georgetown, George Washington, University of Washington, Washington University in St. Louis, Boston College, Boston University, Carnegie Mellon University.

Thank you so much for reading this!!
