<p>Hey all </p>

<p>I am currently a sophomore attending the #2 public school in the state of New Jersey. I do not think that they have a class rank.
I am really interested in applying to New York University and especially Stern for business and finance. </p>

<p>My freshman year was ok i took only 1 honors course and had some problems grade wise due to absences from illness etc etc etc. </p>

<p>Im a sophomore now, and Im planning to start 3 business clubs this year and to become president of them. FBLA, BPA, and Virtual Enterprise.
Im taking all college prep courses and 1 honors course. </p>

<p>However junior year the courses are as follows,</p>

<p>AP English
AP environmental Science
Ap Economics
Ap art history
Gym
Precalculus/statistics
Ap Bio or Bio honors (depends)
Personal Finance/and Business Law</p>

<p>Senior year i have planned as follows:</p>

<p>Ap Government
Ap Chemistry
Ap Statistics
Calculus
Ap English
Ap Computer Science A
Gym (stupid NJ state rule u need 4 years of it)
1945- Presnet Us History Honors (seniors can take it only) </p>

<p>My extracirruculars include:</p>

<p>Junior Firefighter for 2 departments in my hometown, when i turn 18 i will be an active for about 6 months before college starts..</p>

<p>Work for the newspaper at school and outside of school (plan to write about 40-50 articles with pay for each one of them...)</p>

<p>Robotics Club 4 years
Wrestling Varsity 2 yrs</p>

<p>President of 3 clubs at high school, FBLA (future business leaders of america, Business professionals of america and hopefully virtual enterprise)</p>

<p>International Club 2 years</p>

<p>SCTARS (somerset county teenage republicans met forrester and helped his campaign in 2005)</p>

<p>Jazz Band 3-4 years</p>

<p>Volunteered at TV Studio at Princeton for 1 year </p>

<p>Black belt in Isshinryu karate </p>

<p>Please tell me my chances for my goal and tell me what else I should do in order to achieve this goal and to become successful. Please comment and i would appreciate any information given thanks :)</p>

<p>rofl.. bad idea, don't start three clubs at once or the school will think you're looking for things to put on your transcript, especially if they're all the same thing..</p>

<p>Dude ur a sophomore relax. Also, how are you going to take AP English for 2 years.</p>

<p>Yeah, it's kind of hard to give chances for Sophomores ;) You have high school drama to deal with! Don't worry about which colleges to apply to until at LEAST second semester Junior year :p</p>
