Hello, I'm an incoming freshman for the class of 2016, and class registration starts tomorrow. x_x Any current/past NYU students, I need some advice regarding choosing classes.

So I'm already taking these two for sure:
1. Commerce and Culture
2. Calculus I

As for the other two, I know I need to take
1. Texts & Ideas OR Cultures & Contexts/Global Cultures
2. Microeconomics, Statistics, Science, OR Elective

For the first requirement, I heard from a lot of people on here that I should take Antiquity and the 19th Century, but I'm not too interested in the material, and instead I was thinking of taking East Asian Cultures. Is there anything else I should know about this course?

And for the second requirement, I heard that one of the classes (either Micro or Stat) was easier in the Fall. Which one was it? o_O And which one would you suggest taking the first semester? Also, what's the difference in content between the 6-credit Stat course and the 4-credit stat course? I feel like taking the 6-credit one just to get it over with, but if the work load is significantly more, I might just go for the 4-credit one. After all, freshman year is also for exploring NYC!

Finally, are there any professors you would recommend/avoid for any of the classes? What further recommendations do you have for freshman classes? And, would you advise against taking Calc II my freshman year?

Thank you so much! Registration is tomorrow. So nervous and excited. >.<
