you two overachieving kids(haha jk bur really)should get in no problem. Look at my stat and feel comfortable:

ACT: 31 (appx 2070 SAT)
GPA 4.0(yeah, but still)
SAT: 800, 790, 680

Wow. I got into Stern RD with much crappier stats than the first two posters.
I feel awesome.

you three are in.

but honestly, i would go for like Wharton or something I hear Stern is a little overrated in terms of where its cachet will take you....HOWEVER, if you want to be in nyc and take advantage of networking and internship and stuff, then it'll be worth it

Also, just curious, can you still go to like CAS at NYU if you get rejected by stern? Like could you apply to both?

no, you can only apply to 1. if your app for stern is rejected, your whole app for nyu is rejected pretty much

wow i am very jealous of you three: my regards and i think all three of you have a stellar chance to get in please chance me : http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/nyu-2012/1138712-please-help-me-get-into-my-dream-school.html

Hello, I am a Junior at Middle Creek High School, and am curious. Look, I have always wanted to go to New York University, it has been always my second choice, pretty much, well mostly ALL MY LIFE, since my first choice has been Columbia University!!! I had a great freshmen year, but I had a rough sophomore year, and did not end up with the grades I had planned, and wanted to achieve/excel with those grades and classes. During that year though, there were some family problems, which had interacted with my school work, and gave me a handful/plentiful to deal with, and my GAD/SAD (General Anxiety Disorder/Social Anxiety Disorder) kicked in badly!!! I was able to manage, overall, with a D, a 3.2 GPA weighted (so far!!), and then taking senior year 7 AP classes, 12 AP exams, a NATIONAL AP SCHOLAR, and maybe even, the State AP Scholar in NC, but idk 4 sure about that!! Oh, and I also forgot, because of the things happening at my old home, in MA, I ended up moving to NC, where my dad lives, and I am back to my old self with school, I got honor roll again w/ SPECTACULAR grades!!!

So, this is how my grades r on my transcript so far, and I will also put down the classes that I will be doing and self-studying for next year, and they are:

Year Levels

Freshman Yr

Sophomore Yr

Honors Biology C Agawam, MA
Physical Education B Agawam, MA
Spanish III/3 Honors B Agawam, MA

Junior Yr

Course Grade Where Taken

Foods I-Fundamentals -3rd term/quarter I received an A- Apex, NC
Honors Chemistry -3rd term/quarter I received a B- Apex, NC
Honors English III/3 -3rd term/quarter I received an A- Apex, NC

Senior Yr
English Course
AP English IV/4 Literature and Composition (Class at school)

Mathematics Courses
<pre-calculus honors=“” credit=“” in=“” 2011=“” summer=“” course=“” -=“” dual=“” enrollment=“”>
AP Calculus AB (Class at school)
AP Calculus BC (Class at school)
AP Statistics (Class at school)</pre-calculus>

Science Courses
AP Environmental Science (Class at school)
AP Biology (Self-studying, since my dad taught this class, and friends are taking it (Review Book(s)))

Social Studies/History Courses
AP United States History (Class at school)
AP European History (Might or might not take class at school, if not self-studying then, with friends, teachers, etc. (Review Book(s)))
AP World History (Self-studying, and reason doing this is bcuz I got As and Bs through all my World History classes, and I am minoring in history (Review Book(s)))

Foreign Language Courses
AP Spanish Language (Class at school)
AP Spanish Literature (Self-studying, since I talk this language, and am like a native speaker (Cuban), which is a bonus, and family, teachers, etc. will help me review (Review Book(s)))

Elective(s) Courses
AP Psychology (Self-studying, and I have heard it is the easiest exam, but not only that, I have friends, family, teachers, etc. (Review Book(s)))
AP United States Government & Politics (same reason as other AP classes I am self-studying for, but mostly look at the AP World History parentheses, pretty much the same reason, in that case)
Introduction to College Math Honors (not really, but only if I don’t get an AP class that I chose, so this will b an alternate)
Anatomy & Physiology Honors (not really, and same reason Intro to College Math Honors)
Theatre Arts 1 and 2 (duh, one huge reason y I want to go into Columbia 1st, and then next NYU, and 1 of my majors!!)
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel (my dad picked this elective course, so I can type faster!)

Now, you make think that I am crazy, and will have no life, which may be true, but I don’t mind school work, or homework, I don’t like it, but if I have to do it, I don’t mind doing it then!!! Also, my GPA will go up higher, the AP exams cost WAY less than these courses in college!! I took the SATs today, since I am a junior of course, so it would make sense to take the SATs for a junior in the spring!!! Lastly, I am double majoring in Theatre/Performing Arts (Drama/Theatre Arts/Musical Theatre) and Teaching (anything except English, but don’t know wt I want to teach exactly, and if that is the case, in a school or college, since this is kind of my back-up plan from the other major)

Please reply with any comments, questions, and concerns you may have!! Ask anything curious that you do not understand, and thank you so much for reading this, and for your input, bcuz every little opinion and response counts!! Thank you!! A hopeful acceptant to Columbia University or New York University

Got into stern and uva oos with 700 math and 760 cr, little service and few extracurricular activities so you should more than okay. 4.0 unweighted and no hooks or anything unique.
