nyu stern or cornell???

<p>i found this forum today, because i was thinking about my future.</p>

<p>what i learned: i am definitely SCREWED.</p>

<p>all of you have crazy grades, test scores and ECs.</p>

<p>do you think my GPA will screw me over completely???? my freshman year's gpa was 3.5, sophmore year 3.87, this year, i'm around 4.2. all weighted? but they've been all improving. and i'm currently in all honors classes. but i mean, my guidance counselor told me that my gpa averaged to around 3.7. is there a chance that if i work really hard this year, and received straight A's for the next two marking periods and received a 1400+ on my SAT 1 score, i'll get into NYU stern? i want to be a dentist. or i'd like to get to cornell for engineering?</p>

<p>my math sat = 800
verbal's horrible... hoping to get it up.</p>

<p>gpa will probably be around 4.1? hopefully?</p>

<p>ECs? don't have many clubs, because i was never interested in any clubs that my school offered. not even any debate clubs.

played music for school plays
community service: over 200 hours. missions & hospital volunteering. also some community service for helping teachers set up lab equipment.</p>

<p>oh and i think i rank around top 20% of my class right now... but i hope to bring it upto 10-15%... these kids get straight A's all the time... i think it's too late for me to go for tops.</p>

<p>B's and C's throughout my spanish 1/2/3 classes. teacher never liked me, i never like her, and never found a reason to be in a foreign language class. good thing i didn't take spanish 4 this year.</p>

<p>also, what are some good engineering or medical schools that i have a shot at?</p>
