<p>Alright, so I'm a White Junior in High School from California so I'm kinda the average Joe, I've always been dreaming of going to NYU Stern because of the prestige of "Stern" and of course for living in New York City.</p>
<p>I've always been really passionate about business but I've kinda come to realize that my stats probably aren't that great for Stern, even though I will be applying ED... (huge mess up freshmen year, Average SAT score good ECs though [but that probably won't cut it]) anywhoo...</p>
<p>I have been looking into NYU CAS because I hear that the admissions are a little bit easier/less selective in Stern and I think I will have a better shot there. So what business related majors are there in NYU CAS? How much "worse" is CAS for business-related stuff and yeah, so what should I do lol? </p>
<p>Here are my stats just for kicks:</p>
<p>GPA: 3.4 UW, 3.71 W
10-12 GPA: 3.7 UW, 4.0 W
APs: All 5s or 4s (Took APUSH, AP Language, AP Calc AB, AP Spanish, AP Statistics)
SAT: 2060
ECs: A buncha stuff, Eagle Scout, Started a Business Club, Went to States for Debate etc.
Recommendations: Good</p>

<p>I got into Stern with a 2040 SAT and I know people that got rejected with 2150+'s. I don’t know much about CAS but Stern is definitely better. It’s your choice!</p>
<p>I think you might be able to apply to Stern with CAS as a backup. You should look at the application or talk to the addmision. Your GPA is not great but there is an upward trend and colleges like that. You never know. Stranger things have happened. In CAS you can major in economics</p>

You got into Stern with a 2040? Congratz. What were your other stats? Like GPA, AP scores, and extra curriculars? Where did you attend HS btw (like what state I guess).</p>

<p>@momworried: A student cannot apply to Stern and CAS, they must apply to one or the other. </p>
<p>@DullPencil: Your GPA is low even for NYU CAS. The difference between admissions of Stern and CAS is almost negligible. Apply to whichever you prefer. CAS does not have any business-related majors, only economics.</p>

I’m an international from Africa and we don’t really do GPA’s. I know I got good grades but I don’t have the numbers. Don’t have AP’s either.</p>
<p>EC’s: Secretary of school business club, internship with an NGO - organised essay contests and facilitated volunteer work for 3 months. Worked at an ink-producing factory, youth leader at church, own a blog, chess, math and science team member.</p>
