Thanks.

Very cool. Yeah, I was going to swim in college. But as a journalism major, I ended up participating in a lot of tv and radio related activities. Therefore, swimming in college wasn't really an option. I wasn't ready to give it up though, since I had just started swimming my sophomore year of high school. So last year, I worked out by myself constantly, since I could workout at times which were conventient for me. I got myself into better shape (maybe not cardiovascular but definitely strength wise) than I had ever been in before (and I was a three-sport letterman in high school). Then I swam for my Y team last summer. I was already qualified for one event for nationals (it was YMCA nationals so good swimmers, but it wasn't like Olympic trials or anything) then I qualified for three more. I had a terrific time doing it and actually dropped about as much time as many people do in a season. Outside athletics are terrific. I'm not doing it this summer, but I'm glad I did it last summer. And actually I'll miss it, but it's time I move on. I did volunteer as an assistant coach for a month for my former high school team during winter break because I still enjoy being around it.

Haha.. so yeah, that was my long-winded way of explaining that outside-of-college athletics are great!
