I can't decide :(

Depending on where you live, it could be either. If you want to be closer to home and live in the west side, then Berkeley would be a better choice even if you don’t qualify for instate tuition since after a year in dorm you should be a resident by then. If money is no concern, then Stern all the way.

dude i feel ya.
although im doing buisness, my friend is and he ended up picking stern cus he got money to pay for it.
besides nyu its by far a much more “hip” atmosphere than ghetoo berekely although i like ucb campus for its quirks!!

nyu doesnt have ppl in the trees

I’ve got the same problem. However Berkeley is 30k more than NYU, so I’d have to look at their financial aid package when it comes out and then decide

If you want to do Finance, Stern. If anything else, Berkeley.

I want to do finance!!! yes i know stern’s finance is way ahead
I am in west coast canada, so california is closer , and I can drive my car there~ …
i’ve never visited new york, I heard NYU has no campus?
I don’t really have any financial restrictions, so new york??? ohhhhhh headache…

Well, living in New York City is an excellent experience

Then the choice is NYU hands down. You still have to do 2 years at Berkeley before you get into Haas, so there is a small (but still a) possibility of not getting into Haas. Visit both, take the tours, then decide.

It’s NOT “a small (but still a) possibility of not getting into Haas”. It’s like 50% of chance NOT getting into Hass even you’re in Berkeley already.
[Admissions Statistics, Undergraduate Program - Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley](http://www.haas.berkeley.edu/Undergrad/statsucb.html)

REALLY??? so after I become a residence my tuition will be much cheaper right?? ooo thats awesome

Unless you’re parents are moving with you to CA, you will not become a resident for tuition purposes.

You are aware that you can’t get into UC Berkeley’s business school (Haas) until your junior year, aren’t you? And that it requires about a 3.42 GPA or better while at UC Berkeley in order to get accepted. This means that about half or more of those attending the school will not qualify.

At NYU, however, once you are accepted to Stern (as a freshman) you are already in the business school.

Personally, I like living here in northern California, not too far from Berkeley, rather than in the cold of New York City;–but NYU does have the better finance program, and the rules to get into the business program are far more attractive.

Good luck with your choice.

I had to pick between the two as well, and I chose NYU Stern. And I’m not doing Finance.
I absolutely love it here.
