I've recently been admitted to both schools. I like both of them, and I am having a hard time choosing between the two. I plan on doing finance or management and then go on to law school. Do you know which one would be better??? Thanks

Stern .

My vote also goes to NYU. Georgetown is a good university, but the business program at NYU is definitely better.

Why would you ever choose anything over Stern? Awesome school. Awesome location. It is perfection. Don’t turn down such an awesome opportunity.

ty everyone!

Getting jobs isnt about business rankings. IN fact, there is literally 0 correlation between how much schools are recruited and their undergrad business school rankings (grad school rankings show a bit of a stronger correlation). In terms of business education, Stern RANKS better. But as someone who knows A LOT of guys who work on wall street, they tell me that georgetown actually is highly underrated by these rankings and gets a TON of representation and prestige in finance.

You would turn it down if you got into Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, MIT, Wharton, or Columbia ;)

Yet, that is one of the smallest, most biased samplings you could have used to form an opinion. The business ranking might not be everything, but the top programs definitely come out ahead for each major. Schools post their placement statistics and the finance ranking actually shows a strong correlation to the amount of students going into investment banking.

If you are talking about BW, then I agree that the correlations are hard to find, but a highly ranked finance program definitely attracts more investment banking firms and a highly ranked management program definitely attracts more consulting firms.
