Hi There,

I need to choose between the aforementioned universities.

Please can you evaluate:

1) Prestige
2) Grad School Opportunities
3) Recruitment

I will be concentrating in Finance for NYU Stern & Georgetown. Northwestern at Weinburg College I will be majoring in Economics & doing the Kellog business certificate program.

I'm leaning towards Northwestern because it has many non-pecuniary advantages such as location, social scene, campus, weather (I want to freeze my ass off).

Looking for a career in corporate law/investment & retail banking.

Thanks guys.

Obviously you want to go to Northwestern, and you don't mention money as an issue, so go to Northwestern.

I waz hoping sum1 wuld evaluate each one...

PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

investment & retail banking = Stern stomps over Northwestern easily.

All 3 are solid, but NYU Stern is the strongest in terms of business opportunities.

Economics at Northwestern University is hard to beat. Have you already been accepted to the Kellogg certificate program? If so, then there is no doubt that, academically speaking, Northwestern is the best option for you. NYU Stern is outstanding, but there is not much of a campus so it becomes a lifestyle issue between NU & NYU. Georgetown's location and School of Foreign Service are wonderful, but both NYU's Stern & Northwestern's economics are superior.

Yeah. Some people don't like the urban campus at NYU, but if don't mind the city, Stern really is an amazing school (you're right next door to Wall Street!).

You cannot be accepted to the Kellogg certificate as a freshman. You have to be a sophomore at least to apply, I believe.

To answer your question, I'd take Georgetown off the list right away. Stern and NU are probably better choices for what you want to do (IB/Econ/Law). NU's pre-professional advising is excellent, so you might take that into consideration as you are looking into doing law.
