Ok, so I think you are a really solid applicant for Stern but you never know- they are super selective. I think applying early will improve your chances.

I think it is a stretch. Your GPA is fine considering your course rigor, and your ECs look decent, but your SAT score is going to be on the lower end of applicants to Stern, which will harm you. Unless you retake and score 2150+, I think you have a fairly low chance of getting in. Keep in mind, though, that NYU’s College of Arts and Sciences also offers an Economics major and is significantly easier to get into than Stern.

What is your financial situation? NYU is very expensive.

Whats your race, gender and income? These are three important factors in admissions at NYU Stern.

@aik257 Thank you for your reply. I hope that applying early will give me some kind advantage but I’m certain it won’t be too much.

@tsm714 My family is pretty much middle-class, a little bit on the higher end. I plan on taking the ACT and I hope that my ACT will come out much better than my SAT score. I do agree that my SAT score is a bit low which is why I intend on taking the ACT.

@SternBusiness I am a Korean-American, Male, and middle-class. I don’t know the exact income of my family.

@aiyabaila I personally don’t think your SAT score is something to worry about - on the contrary! it is very good, at least for NYU’s standards

I think it’s reach even for NYU CAS let alone Stern
