You have a good chance at Stern and you’re a qualified applicant for Wharton (but that one’s a crapshoot, really)
Make sure you keep your grades up, get those standardized tests done (if you got a 31 ACT in 7th grade I wouldn’t worry to much though) and get your essays/letters of rec out of the way the summer before senior year or very early in the first semester if possible.
If you know you can pay for both Penn and NYU, I’d say apply ED to Penn and ED2 to NYU to increase your chances. Other than that, good job! You’re on the right track. Keep it up.
Those are very great stats, especially for a sophomore. I was recently admitted into Stern ED2 as of 4 days ago. Yayyyyy, still very stoked. I don’t often post in these forums as theres a lot of what ifs and crap shooting but I must say we share lots of similarities. I would say that Stern doesn’t always admit the brainiacs but you do need some brains to get in. Make yourself a well rounded individual with solid Essays, recommendations, extra curricular (diverse scope of activities is key). And of course keep your grades up. It might be too early to judge whether you will get there but aim for at least a 34 on the ACT and at least a 1500 on the SAT, the higher the better. That said, a perfect GPA and perfect standardized test scores won’t get you admitted necessarily but it certainly doesn’t hurt. Keep up the volunteering, the sports (I’m a swimmer myself), and overall the holistic package of a applicant. One area I suggest you add to is your leadership skills. Try to create something, or lead something. This is pretty general advice I know, but every person has their individual aspirations and interests and I cannot tell you where you will find yours. Best of luck.
