"haha Stern is full of asians who were rejected from Wharton and who feel that they have to compensate for this by being total dicks to their classmates to get to the top."

... well put... sad yet true.

... well put... sad yet true.

Really.....?

um yes..its disgusting sometimes

What other undergraduate business schools are as competitve as Stern. GOOD undergrad b schools? Maybe Wharton thats it. As far as I know, people enjoy themselves at UVA, Berkely, ND, Emory, etc. In fact, i barely hear a bad thing from those schools. At stern, I hear all this crap.

Haas is certainly this competitive, as is Wharton (from what my friends have told me). I wouldn't consider Emory or ND top undergrad bschools so I won't comment on them. And to be fair, I'm not at any other schools so its difficult to say what other places are competitive like Stern.

huh...

why so much hate from people who don't even go here?

your stern "friends" purposely give you the wrong answer while studying for the microeconomics exam WITH you, I hope you can still say the same thing.

your friend attracts a-holes because he's one of them. I did not have a problem with my study group.

and please ignore futurenyustudent. he's been trolling for the last 14 months or so.

Gonsenheim, now i know you have no idea what your talking about. Emory and ND are top undergrad bschools. Check the rankings. ND was no.3 last year and I think Emory was in the top 5. Job placement is extremely good for both schools and ND has the best alum network in the nation.

I hear Michigan is quite competitive.

Wow, are ALL undergrad business schools this cutthroat? Or is it just Stern?

I think any business school that have BB/big 3 MC firms recruiting would be cut throat.

I really don't care what the rankings say sweetlax, I don't consider them top undergraduate business schools at all. I don't think they're in the same league as the other schools being talked about--schools like Stern, Ross, Wharton, Haas, and UVA (and some others that I am not listing) are top undergrad bschools, not Emory and ND. Thats fine if you disagree with me, you don't have to get defensive about it, but I think most intelligent people here would agree with me.

I agree (ten char)

Well I don't really care what you have to say. All my friends who go to ND got GREAT jobs coming out due to great recruiting down there. Same with Emory. Ive never heard of Ross or Haas before coming here. Hell, they're public schools anyway, bound to be thousands of students.

Besides, this has nothing to do with stern anymore, lets take this to college admissions.

Wow if you have never heard of Ross or Stern then you are obviously not well-informed about the best undergraduate business programs in the world. You should do some research and read up on these programs before you make comments on them that make you look like inept. Now we know who doesn't know what they're talking about.

hahaha hear hear.

Venus, dont post if you have nothing new to say.

And I never said I didn't know about Stern, work on your reading comprehension.

It would save time if there was an easy quote button because then I could just quote gonsenheim's posts and re-post. He is probably one of the three or four people in the business forum who makes sense. Everyone else seems like they work for certain colleges' public relationsdepartment(example=futurenyustudent).

You're wrong. No public relations department has paid or approached me. Hmmm let me know what I said on THIS THREAD that makes me sound like a PR executive. Maybe I have a promising career in public relations. Too bad, because I'm going into finance.

Actually I beg to differ. Stern is an overrated school. As Harvardman said, it really is full of cutthroat students who will push thier 'friends' down to get that internship.

Because backstabbing DOESN'T happen at Wharton, UVa, Michigan, Berkeley or USC. Because every Wharton helps each other. Well welcome to the real world. Backstabbing happens everywhere. Anywhere there is a Stern curve there WILL be backstabbing and sabotage. Just in some places more than others.
