push!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

safety requirement?

It seeemed like most Stern transfers had high gpas (3.9's or so), but I also knew one person with a 3.4, another with a 3.6, etc.

If you don't think you can improve a lot (like 150+ points) by retaking the SAT, I wouldn't bother with it now. Just study hard, get involved, etc...

HTH

botangers,

what SAT score range did most of the stern transfers fall under?

thank you very much

what if u have a 3.9 college GPA but a 960 SAT score?

can anyone answer my question? thanks!

It's hard to say. Just a guess, but I would say that the average SAT score of Stern transfers might be slightly below the rest of Stern student body. So I'd say high 1300s. If your GPA is high, it can compensate for your lower SAT score (depending on whether you are a freshman or sophomore when you apply).

I got in to Stern with a 1250 SAT and a 3.84 GPA

Can you give us some more details. I think it will help a lot.

where are you transfer from?

what is your EC's ..etc.

thanks!

AvonT,
****ty EC's.. 2 intramural sports and an occasional club here and there and I play guitar. No leadership positions. I transferred from Rowan, which is a public NJ university. My essay was about how nyu would challenge me ect. and that being in nyc is great for me personally and professionally. I also spelled the word honors wrong on my application.. twice. I don't think I missed anything.
Also, if it helps, I got rejected from UVA and Washington U. in Saint Louis with similar essays and applications.
