Nyu Students Help!!

Hello.

I'm planning a very last minute trip to New York and I need to know if any New York residents know of any economic yet convenient accomodations near the Univeristy Campus. I am more for location than price...so if there are any hotels or inns near campus please contact me.

I am going to tour the campus before I make a final decision!

Thanks a bunch.

Google. Or open Google Earth and clock on the lodging's overlay and you can see exactly where it is and what it looks like. Beware, its hard to find cheap lodging in nyc, good luck. Should'nt you have made your final decision by now anyway?

Yeah.
Well.. here's my suggestion.

Register at United.com
It sometimes send you "Weekend Getaway" which they offer SFO<->JFK around 280

Find Hostels.

You can find $20/night places around Central Park.
I don't think there's any "convinent, near the university, and economic" places around the campus.

Also, you dont have to stay near campus to be at NYU all day. There are trains/busses from anywhere to anywhere in manhatten so transport shouldnt be too much of an issue.

My mother's stayed there before. Sure, it was a bit creepy with the creeky floors and all, but it's tolerable. Frequented by young people doing touristy things in NY, etc.

Hi I stayed at a pretty nice hotel in NYC in a great location. About 10 min. or so from NYU. It was called the Marcel Hotel in NYC. I got it really cheap (well for NYC anyway) and its 112 a night. It was really clean and economic. I liked it alot. I got my offer from travelocity.com, but I know the hotel was advertised on nychotels.com as well, so see which comes out cheaper. Its right by everything too, and I would reccomend it to anyone. Hope I helped!

Try the Waldorf=Astoria ;)

We flew into Newark and stayed at the Newark Hilton across from Penn Station. It was a 12-min. train ride into the city and then just another short subway ride to Wash. Sq. Park area. The hotel was less than $100/night for two people.
