The first question asks: 1. Given your NYU campuses of interest - whether they are your primary and alternate home campuses of interest or where you would like to study away while you are a student - where, exactly, would you like to study at NYU - and why?

Is the question referring to what campus you want to go to? Like there's NYU Shanghai, NYU New York, and NYU Abu Dhabi. In the common app I choose from the three. Or is the question referring to what school I'm going to apply to, like CAS, Stern, etc. ?

Think they want to know what campus you want to study at…NYU Shanghai, NYU New York, and NYU Abu Dhabi

^ Agree- Campus = Location. It is a geographic question.

They did a similar thing last year, where they gave you checkboxes and you chose which campuses you wanted to go to. However, you had to write a paragraph on why you chose the specific campuses. Seems like they shortened this section this year.

was kind of surprised that was the essay for NYU…makes me feel that admissions is very test/GPA driven. No real creativity or insight involved in essay just what campus and why
