NYU Supplement essay

If you had the opportunity to spend one day in New York City with a famous New Yorker, who would it be and what would you do? (Your New Yorker can be anyone -past or present, fictional or nonfictional - who is commonly associated with New York City; they do not necessarily have to have been born and raised in New York.)

I already posted this in another forum before i realized how to get to the NYU forum specifically....but my question was : Does this person that I choose have to be from Manhattan specifically, or can they be from anywhere in New York City, i.e. Queens?

anywhere in new york city.

uh, Queens is still part of NYC. NYC is comprised of five boroughs.

they dont really care. as long as the person was born in new york, lives in new york, or died in new york. it really doesnt make a diff…as long as u provide a good answer.

Another question. Do you think it has to be a human?

They don’t have to be anything except a famous New Yorker.

Yea, I realize that Queens is in the five boroughs of New York City…but since NYU is in Manhattan I was just wondering. But thanks guys!

one more question: are we thinking a group of famous new yorkers would suffice?

@ ingette.
If the group is usually thought of as a single entity, then yes.
