NYU Supplemental: WHAT DO I WRITE ABOUT??!?!

Hi,

So, I've basically finished all my supplementals except for NYU because I have no idea what to write about or what they're looking for! If anyone has any ideas let me know. The question is:

NYU is global, urban, inspired, smart, connected, and bold. What can NYU offer you, and what can you offer NYU? (200-400 words)

I have a 3.8 GPA, 2030 SAT, 30 ACT, I'm an Asian-American female, and my ECs are: classical music, Science Olympiad. Interested in psychology but not sure what I want to major in.

Help! Thanks in advanced!!!

What draws you to NYU? Start with that. Talk about how amazing the school is, etc, and talk about how the skills you have would give back to nyu. I’ve heard that its better to focus on one factor instead of trying to spread it out too much.

Mainly I’m attracted to the fact that NYU is in the city, but I’m pretty sure everyone writes about, so I’m afraid to

Make it personal. Tell a story. They want more than just grades

omg we have the same exact stats LOL
but this is what was posted on their admissions blog:
What is it that made you select the campus or campuses you asked to be considered for? What made you indicate an interest in a particular academic program or programs

In my NYU essay, I talked about why NYU is a good place to study French and Nutrition/Dietetics. I also touched upon NYU’s diversity, and how that enhances the dynamics of the classroom.

I would advise you to research academic programs and study abroad opportunities that are specific to NYU. Why is NYU good for what you want to major in (even if you are undecided)?

I spoke about how I felt living in the city and going to a school as diverse and global as NYU would advance my career and skills as a writer, citing specifically experiences and the ability to fit my education for my future.

I wrote about how NYU is different- how for an undecided student NYU was the only school that gave me broad enough options to explore.

I’m currently at NYU, can read over you essay if you’d like.
