I’ll be a freshman at the Tandon School of Engineering this fall, and was wondering what the placement test was like. I found one example here:
http://www.math.poly.edu/courses/sample_diagnostic.pdf
but virtually no other info about the contents of the test or how to prepare for it etc. From that one example test, it seems like it does some basic algebra, trig, and geometry then moves onto easy/medium/hard calculus, but since I’m an international student who was taught what people consider a “weak” mathematics curriculum, almost all of the parts from page 6 of that example onwards is foreign to me.
I assume that people from other countries who maybe too AP or IB or something similar would have a better knowledge of calculus, and I was wondering if anyone had any online websites or specific topics or sub-topics of calculus to recommend learning before this test.
Thanks!
