I have a 3.85 GPA and many years of intensive dance training. I'm in the highest level in one of the best ballet schools in the country and attend a top performing arts H.S. as a dance major. I am not worried about taking my dance audition, however, I did not have a stellar performance in my SAT and ACT scores. Does anyone have any anecdotal information on anyone getting in to Tisch Dance with below the average range (for NYU ) test scores?

auditions have more weight on admissions than test scores.

I was told it was 50/50. I just wondered if there was a cut off. Someone told me if you have a FABULOUS audition and score above 1100 in the SAT and have a really good GPA you are in. I wondered if this was true?

bump...................

Just got a letter today letting me know that I passed the audition part of the NYU Tisch Dance department auditon. Waiting now for the results of the academics. Here's hoping. Good luck to all out there!
