<p>The number in each Tisch studio varies and the studio assignments have been conveyed within a couple of weeks in recent years. They used to tell you when you were accepted and I’m not sure why they stopped doing that. They also used to allow you to specify a preference for a particular studio and to discuss that in the interview portion of audition day. Too bad they stopped that, too.</p>
<p>Do you know the range? How many first year students are in the studio with the least amount of first year students, and how many are in the studio with the most first year students? </p>
<p>No, I’m sorry I don’t. My D graduated years ago and I’m not familiar with current numbers. Is there a particular concern you have? Despite the differing numbers, the studios usually divide the students into small sections of ~15 per class.</p>
<p>The studios with the larger number of students still have small class sizes. I think Meisner is one of the smaller studios. Some of the studios have a fair number of students who applied for MT but were placed in acting studios instead.</p>
