I am a freshman at Carnegie Mellon studying creative. I have always wanted to go into acting but never had the money for the training the way a lot of children did. I am applying transfer (I already sent in my portfolio to USC School of Cinematic Arts for screenwriting) and am now debating with auditioning for Tisch. But coming from a humanities program and without strong classical training, I was wondering if it was worth it to even try. I have a 4.0 gpa here at CMU and I had the same at my private high school and 34 on my ACTs. I did most of the plays and musicals in high school and all in middle school. If I do audition, what are my chances? And is there any way to increase those chances?

I just feel at a disadvantage because I am deciding what I want to do so late. Most drama kids start so young.

Any input is helpful.
