Hello!! I really want to apply to NYU Tisch for Film and Television but instead of making a short film i am going to submit a six page dramatic scene story. I literally have no experience with film or television but i've always wanted to get involved and try out directing or something. I'm not an amazing writer but i enjoy writing and i'd love to learn how to improve. My grades are OK i have a 3.4 unweighted, 4 advanced level classes (1 AP, 1 Honors, 1 College, and 1 Advanced). My SAT score is about 1750-1850 (I just took it on Saturday). I really want to join NYU Tisch but the competition kind of scares me!

Also, is it best to apply ED I instead of RD? I was thinking about ED since it's my number one school and it would be nice to get accepted into a school in December. But the only thing that scares me is my lack of experience! The only experience i have with Film is making a short film for my senior project. But i want to write a six page story/dramatic scene/screenplay instead. Do you have to be a fabulous writer or do you just have to show yourself and tell your story the way you want to? I just feel that i am really below everyone's standards. Any insights and advices would be wonderful, thank you!
