I am currently a junior in high school looking to apply to nyu at the beginning of next year. If I am looking to major in something with film/television studies, would it be a better idea to go to Tisch or Gallatin? Which one is more difficult to get into? And what type of grades or experience should I be presenting im the application to have a strong chance?
Also, applying for Gallatin what are the other parts of the application process other than the common app?
it would be a better idea to go to tisch, although it’s the more difficult program to get into. and i’d say that if u want to go in for tisch, u should focus way more on ur experience/portfolio than ur GPA- although that isn’t an invitation for u to start slacking. because as much emphasis tisch puts into ur portfolio, they’ll still want to make sure that ur GPA isn’t at rock-bottom.
