NYU to UIUC

Hi, so I'm a freshman at NYU's college of arts and sciences majoring in Economics..

I orginally got into UIUC Business school last year, but I decided not to go just because I thought NYU would be a better choice.

I really want to major in Marketing/ Management, if not Accounting (which UIUC is famous for). It's just too hard to transfer into Stern as internal transfer...

and doing Economics isn't that interesting ... so I'm looking to transfer to a decent college with a business major.

I called the illinois admission, and the asst. director of admission called me back saying that I will be accepted as long as I maintained 3.0+ gpa here.

Would I be making a mistake if I decide to transfer to illinois ?

any input would be appreciated!

Hi, I am in Business college in UIUC currently, and I am applying to transfer to CAS Econ in NYU this fall. Why not Econ? I go NYU simply because it is in NYC. Also I heard that internal transfer to Stern is much easier than external transfer? Is it true?

that is not true lol.

Even my Academic advisor told me that If i want to major in business, I should transfer out from NYU

Can you give Stern a shot at least even if you already know that it’s hard internally?
