NYU transfer admissions Fall of 2009

<p>hey whats up guys
i am currently a freshman at Fairleigh Dickinson University and i am maintaining a 4.0 GPA ..though that's, my high school GPA was a 2.8, and my SAT's were bad (yeah i pretty much grew up during college)</p>

<p>my ? is I applied to NYU..
do i have a shot?
will i get in?

<p>I would apply after sophomore year if I were you (even if you don’t get in this year, try again). If you’re applying as a transfer during freshman year, more weight is placed on high school and SATs because you have less college coursework to show them. If you apply during sophomore year, emphasis is placed on college GPA. But of course, anyone who shows such improvement has a great chance. And if your midterm report shows you’ve maintained A’s, that would definitely help too. I’ve known people who transferred to Cornell with poor high school records. Good luck! :)</p>
