@kcasssuu no change here either some applicants received an email, some just checked their portals, one said there was a notification within Albert that said they would be receiving their decision soon… idk what to expect! I’m sooo anxious lol
@thispersonsthat
Does this means applicants who receive email thru the portal gets higher chances?
So worried right now?
for those who have not been accepted yet. are you guys able to access nyu housing payments? i can access mine and apparently put down a deposit. can you guys do the same?
I don’t think any will come out today… Just chill they will be out in a couple weeks
Hey guys, just found out unfortunately I didn’t get in but hopefully others from this thread will get in today. Good luck to all!
everyone has access to NYU Home, right?
Wait how did you find out?
Re Stern. They state on the website that preference is given to internal transfers from within NYU. So I’m guessing the reason Stern is last to release for external transfers is because they need the internal ones finalized first.
@okurrr I have access to NYU Home and Albert–I think all applicants do but I can’t confirm that. I can also access the NYU Housing Payments eBursur portal-thing but there’s no activity reported for my account. I already live in the city and did not request dorming, though.
@EPICBOYXP they sent me an email around 1pm pst
@nk2220 Everyone has access to those. What I have noticed is that accepted applicants get there aid year displayed in Albert prior to their acceptance. However, looking at previous forums, some have gotten accepted without any changes in Albert!
@TrinityT I’m not sure! I wouldn’t think so
I called earlier this week to ask if a midterm report was necessary and while on the phone I asked about the decisions date(s) and he told me they’re releasing them on Thursdays and Fridays.
About the midterm report, for anyone who may be curious as to what they said - I called because, although I haven’t gotten a request for one, I saw that they were pushing for a few other applicants to have their’s submitted by Wednesday/Thursday this week so I wanted to ensure they didn’t need one from me. They said it wasn’t necessary for all applicants, but I feel if they were considering me, they would definitely need one since I’m transferring as a freshman with only 12 credits completed (working on another 12 this semester). But we shall see
@okurrr yeah, I think everyone has access to those! I have access to both and have for a while.
@luc405 I’m so sorry you didn’t get in
The most promising sign of being accepted is receiving a transfer credit report. You usually get it before the decision is posted. With that being said, there’s still nothing on my portal ?
Did anyone else get a notification besides @luc405 ?
Accepted to College of Arts and Sciences!! No email, but my portal updated around 12:30pm.
Hey guys, just found out I didn’t get in. I was notified through email. Here’s my stats:
4.0 GPA (College)
OOS Transfer
1 LOR
1600 Community Service Hours
Applied for CAS
46 Credit Hours
NYU wasn’t my dream school and was definitely a reach considering my high school transcript (3.3 GPA). I’m still waiting to hear back from my dream school but I thought I should update you all.
GRATS!!! When did you submit your app?
I really hope you get into your dream school! Thank you for updating us.
Sorry to hear from everyone who was rejected. Congrats to all those who were accepted!
@thispersonsthat I would just send in the midterm report in all honesty. Though I would only send it in if you know it’ll reflect positively on your application. I sent mine in even though it wasn’t requested. Mostly because I wanted to show that my C+ from last semester in general chem went to a B+ this time around.
@wilshire I submitted it on March 15th!
My stats:
Coming from small liberal arts school in Washington state.
Sociology major to CAS
Incoming junior w/ 73 credits
3.78 GPA (college)
4.3 GPA (high school)
3 letters of rec- 2 from professors who I know well, 1 from my boss at a local nonprofit
Extra curriculars: I run a leadership program for 5th grade girls, helped put on a Power and Privilege symposium, volunteer in a spanish-speaking kindergarten class, play violin in the school’s orchestra, feminist club, etc.
NYU is one of my top choices - I’m very excited!
