@hyzkxo I’m a parent; perhaps the waitlist is internal and is the list they are going down as students decline the offer. At least, that is how I interpret it. It would make sense since they certainly don’t want the number of offers to exceed spaces available.

accepted to cas for politics!! i also had a financial aid change last night. i am currently trying to decide between barnard and nyu. congratulations to everyone who was accepted, and good luck to all those who are still waiting for a decision!

I just wanted to announce that I got rejected from Tisch film for my second and last time.
I had a 3.77 GPA and a great recommendation. I started my own brand, created my own website, had very heartfelt and thoughtful essays, had what I thought was a thorough resume, and included my best film to date along with the application. (if you consider my stats high, don’t feel doubtful, I’m just listing them because I know people will ask.)
However, it just didn’t happen for me.
Even though I’m crushed beyond belief, I just want everyone who may be experiencing the feelings I’m going through at this moment to know that it’s going to be alright and that you’re not alone.
It hurts but I understand that this isn’t the end of my film endeavors and that hopefully, my passion and drive, can carry me on in the future.
@something5678 Well NYU definitely lost a gem. Godspeed, I hope you find success and happiness wherever you go and in whatever you do.
