yeah usually by at least double. BUT I guess its really circumstantial ? like it depends on how many spaces they have, what major you’re in, how many people applied, etc
you should look up NYU transfer acceptance rates, you might feel better!
Last year there was a HUGE wave of acceptances on May 12 (a Tuesday oddly and at all times of day from 6pm until late that night). Nobody for Tisch that I can recall heard before then. I saw some acceptances on May 1st but I don’t think any were Tisch or none at least that required a portfolio submission that I’m aware of.
its also from a smaller pool of applicants. there’s way more freshman who apply than first years. i think thats something to take into account
I have a question regarding standardized testing scores. I applied to NYU for freshmen admission but didn’t get in. For my freshmen application, I sent my act scores, which is a bad choice because I didn’t do very well. So, for this time, I decided not to send my act scores, but when I checked my portal it has a checkmark on standardized testing scores, and it was received in 2018, to which I first applied. Since I didn’t do very well, I am worried about that will affect my admissions. Just a side note, I have already completed more than 30 units at my current college.
So apparently if you don’t send them in through college board, they don’t review it. But becuase it shows a checkmark, im not very sure. Call them and talk to them about it and try to get it removed from the review process and even if they review it, it doesn’t really matter because they know you are in college and past the credits needed. Don’t stress a lot. But do call them for your own peace of mind
Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about Gallatin’s transfer decision date or the acceptance rate for external transfers.
Does anyone know it for Tandon?
Omg thank you so much! I had no idea haha. Good luck w ur application!!
Hey. Did u call NYU regarding if they will look at old standardized test scores?
not yet, but I will tomrrow. I can keep you updated tho.
Does anyone know if transfers (external) are considered for scholarships??? I know institutional aid is not common but the nyu website explaining scholarships is a bit confusing to me bc the description of some of the scholarships are like first year and transfers and some are incoming students… like are transfers considered incoming students or is it just first years just in different wording…?
There are a lot of posts about that in this thread. Scroll back and read earlier posts.
Hey everyone,
I’m a bit late to the conversation, I’m an external CAS transfer. I believe I saw someone post the timeline for decisions from 2018 being 04/15-04/17. Any chance it could be today for this year?
Thanks! Best of luck to everyone!
it could be today because of how unpredictable nyu is but it’s not likely. usually its a bit later in the month toward may.
Okay thank you for letting me know!
Really hoping it’s today, though…the radio silence is super uncomfortable lol
i know a part of me wants to call and ask but i know they’re just gonna give some generic answer
I agree, I’m so so anxious!!!
im also afraid because even if i do get accepted idk how i can afford to take out 70k+ in loans
Honestly, the admissions process is one of the most depressing and heartwrenching process one has to go through. It’s not healthy at all. I know I am super blessed to have the opportunity to even think about college, but man this is some depressing stuff. Sorry but I wanted to take that out of my system
