NYU Transfer Fall 2021

same i got rejected ED as well but it was for the best. i already got accepted into my top choice transfer college but i will definitely be crushed if nyu rejects me because i have a history w them and i really love the school!!

Congratulations. What college did you get accepted to, only if you feel like sharing.

Thank you! The University of Michigan!

Oh wow. Thats an amazing university. What were your stats. I am sorry for asking but I am just curious to know

it’s totally okay! i will be an incoming junior and i have a 3.9 gpa at my current university which is a state school! i had around a 2.8 gpa in high school and i didn’t submit my sat.

I think RD decisions are out today that’s probably why they’re going crazy haha but you know what that means we’re up next!!

wait so transfer decisions come later right?

Im so excited yet so nervousssss.

Hey y’all. Saw there was a thread for Fall transfers and decided to hop on in.

Current GPA is 4.0, HS GPA was 3.78 weighted. SAT 1540. Hoping my better college GPA and a better “Why NYU” essay can help me this time. Applying to CAS with a Tandon alt.

When did y’all submit the apps?

Does anyone have an idea if we need to submit a CSS profile and would submitting one help get additional aid. I’m confused because people in previous threads submitted the CSS profile and when I called the office, they said that they don’t review it
Thank you

don’t have to

Is that new? I thought NYU required CSS. Hope they don’t anymore. Good luck everyone and post as you get results!

But would submitting it help get extra aid or not?

genuinely not sure but i saw in past threads they dont give much money to transfers anyway but id say to do it even though its not required. i submitted my css as well but when i spoke to the financial aid woman she said it didnt matter but it couldnt hurt!

not for transfers they dont. and thanks same to u if you’re applying!

Thank you!. Well that’s a bummer. That doesn’t make any sense though :joy:

Are you sure those weren’t internal transfers? I know that internal transfers have decisions start going out in April

Is anyone here applying to Gallatin as a transfer? I’m planning on doing so in October, but I’m not sure what their acceptance rate is for the transfers. Considering how NYU’s acceptance rate this year was 12% for freshmen, it’s not looking too good :grimacing:
