NYU/Transfer School Question

Hey so I already posted about my college situation here: <a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/767280-what-my-chances-any-other-school-suggestions.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/767280-what-my-chances-any-other-school-suggestions.html</a></p>

But I was wondering: If I got a B- in applied calculus will that make me inelgible for any of the schools finance/business programs. I'm applying to NYU economics in spring. The rest of my grades were A's and A-'s, just that one B- (which was only a B- by .1 percent, teacher won't round it to a B) is what brought my GPA down to a 3.68. Anyways was wondering if that will immediately disqualify me or not. Also I was wondering if I should take another calculus class this semester to maybe offset it? I don't know

Also if anyone has any comments on the other post you can post them here or there, thanks a lot everyone!

bump…

First off I would like to point out, you are asking two different things. Do you want to major in business or Econ? THey are in seperate schools in NYU and while getting into NYU at all is rather difficult, getting into the Stern school of business is exceedingly difficult. So long answer short, of course a 3.68 does nto disqualify you automatically, just keep in mind that NYU is the kind of school that attracts 4.0 applicants from not only all over the country, but all over the world.

Don’t lose hope, but if being in NYU is the bottom line for you, I would STRONGLY suggest trying to transfer into a major, OTHER than business.

Good luck!
