NYU Transfer Thread - Fall 2010

International applicants receive E-mails.
Domestic applicants receive physical mail.

Finally - after such a long time, my applications is complete. Now just waiting for the decision

Ahhh… I really want to know! I also NEED to know soon cuz I have to pay tuition for summer sooooooon (I applied to NYU for summer). Hope they can let me know soon!

last time I asked my high school counselor secretary to forward my high school transcript again (I said please, too) she refused to do it because she said if she sends it twice, they’re going to get confused.

… i’m worried now.

^^^ Ummmmmm…

Well my application is finally complete… but I don’t know if its too late… sigh

my app won’t be complete until monday at the latest :(

ahhhh i hope nyu set up the email notifications so that
we don’t have to be so anxiously waiting for the physical mail
:(

i don’t think domestic applicants receive e-mails regarding admission decisions.

This is the information I got directly from the NYU Admissions Forum:

“The Admissions Committee will begin notifying transfer applicants of our decision in early to mid-May. Notification will continue on a rolling basis after the end of May. This means that once a decision has been reached on your application you will be notified of that decision. Notification letters are provided by US Postal Service only. We do not notify applicants by e-mail, the internet, or over the telephone.”

Hope that clears things up for people. :)

thats weird. why did i get rejected so early. i got a rejection letter from stern like 2 weeks ago. i wonder if it was a mistake lol i doubt it

overqualified, maybe? :p

@poleandreel I guess it’s just different for each program :/

isn’t it better to know early than later, though? :P

yea i guess but its never better to find out that its a rejection

^ that’s absolutely true.

I think ydh was referring to the netID accounts, hookedongtown, not waiting for an email. Sounds like if you can log in you’re definitely in but if you can’t either they haven’t reviewed your file or set up your account or you’re rejected.

poleandreel you said you go to a private school in new york … st. john’s right?

I wish I didn’t get accepted so early. The due date is coming up. I am still waiting for a few more decisions, and I haven’t decided yet!! What should I do… damn it. Does the school extend the due date for deposit?

@ javeb
where can you log in? with what account id and password??..

I found out via mail, add me to the accepted list.

Aussiegbrl - Junior Transfer, Poli-Sci major.

Good luck to all and I pray you all get in to your top choices and that all works out towards your best interests.
